Perry is our home base: dispatch, parts planning, and most of our technicians start the day from Taylor County’s seat, so when you call, you are talking to the same crew that serves your block, not a distant franchise.
From downtown Perry and the US-19 corridor to neighborhoods off Puckett Road, Spring Warrior, and the Hampton Springs area, we see a wide mix of housing, 1960s ranch homes with original ductwork, newer slab-on-grade construction, manufactured homes, and small commercial spaces along the highway. That variety is why we diagnose before we quote: airflow, refrigerant charge, electrical, and controls all tell a story before anyone talks about replacement.
Advanced Refrigeration & Air Conditioning has worked in Perry for more than 32 years. Today we operate as Advanced Air, combining that history with Carrier® equipment paths, clear financing explanations, and documentation you can keep after the visit.
Our shop is at 520 W Hampton Springs Ave, Perry, FL 32348, when you need walk-in cooler service for a local business or a no-cool call at home, you are hiring neighbors who already know Perry’s summer heat and winter cold snaps.
Call 850-584-3626 for priority scheduling when trucks are available, or use our contact form for tune-ups, second opinions, and planned replacements.
HVAC in Perry’s neighborhoods and corridors
Perry’s climate pushes systems hard from late spring through early fall. Humidity control matters as much as temperature, oversized air conditioners that short-cycle leave rooms feeling clammy even when the thermostat says 72°. We test sensible and latent capacity, check blower speed and duct leakage, and recommend dehumidification or duct sealing when that is the real problem.
Along US-19 and near Taylor Technical College, we routinely service heat pumps, straight-cool condensers, package units on small commercial buildings, and ductless mini-splits in additions or garage conversions. Older homes near downtown often have retrofitted ductwork in crawlspaces or attics; we document restrictions before suggesting a larger outdoor unit.
Local businesses, from restaurants and markets to offices, count on us for commercial refrigeration as well as comfort cooling. If product temperature is drifting or a walk-in will not hold setpoint, we treat it with the same urgency as a residential no-cool call.
Common HVAC issues we see in Perry
- Weak airflow from aging flex duct or crushed returns in crawlspaces
- Refrigerant leaks on older R-22 systems and mismatched indoor coils
- Heat pumps that cool fine but struggle on the few freezing nights each winter
- Thermostats in sun pockets or near drafty windows causing short cycling
- Clogged condensate drains after heavy summer storms
- Commercial reach-ins and walk-ins that cannot recover after door traffic spikes
